Terms of service

Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 October 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of The Bohemian King’s website and purchases made through our online store.

Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order. By using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms together with the policies referred to below.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

1. About The Bohemian King’s

This website is operated by Bohemian Importers & Distributors Limited, trading as The Bohemian King’s.

Company Number: 788633

VAT Number: IE 3754433TH

Registered in Ireland.

Email: support@thebohemiankings.com

Throughout these Terms, “The Bohemian King’s”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Bohemian Importers & Distributors Limited.

Our online store is hosted using Shopify's ecommerce platform.

2. Who These Terms Apply To

These Terms apply to customers purchasing products directly from our website.

They also apply to visitors using the website, subject to the sections relevant to website use.

If you purchase The Bohemian King’s products through a third-party marketplace such as Amazon, eBay, TikTok Shop or another retailer, that marketplace or retailer may have additional contractual, payment, delivery and return terms.

These Terms do not restrict any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

3. Our Products

The Bohemian King’s sells cosmetics, beard-colouring products, grooming products and related accessories.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, ingredients, sizes, quantities and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

Minor differences in packaging, appearance or presentation may occur from time to time.

Our beard colour products contain plant-derived ingredients. Natural raw materials can show some variation in appearance, texture and colour between batches.

Actual colour results can also vary according to factors including your starting beard colour, percentage of grey hair, beard texture, previous treatments, preparation and application technique.

Nothing in these Terms removes our obligation to provide goods that conform to the contract and meet applicable legal requirements.

4. Beard Colour Use and Product Instructions

Our beard colour products must be used in accordance with the instructions, warnings and application guidance supplied with the product.

Customers should read the instructions before use and follow any applicable patch-test instructions and product warnings.

Our plant-based beard colour is developed for established beard hair. For the purposes of our voluntary performance guarantee, we recommend a beard length of approximately 1 cm or longer.

Results on very short stubble may be limited because there is less beard hair available for the plant-derived pigments to bond to.

The 1 cm recommendation is a condition relevant to our voluntary 30-Day First-Time Buyer Guarantee. It does not remove or restrict statutory rights where a product is faulty, unsafe, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.

No cosmetic product can be guaranteed to produce an identical colour result on every customer.

5. Placing an Order

When you submit an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products shown in your order.

After your order is submitted, you will normally receive an automated order acknowledgement.

An automated acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that we have accepted the order.

A contract for the purchase of the products is formed when we accept your order, normally when we confirm that the order has been accepted for fulfilment or dispatched.

Taking or authorising payment does not by itself require us to accept an order where there is a legitimate reason why the order cannot be fulfilled.

If we cannot accept an order for which payment has already been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the affected order.

6. When We May Refuse or Cancel an Order

We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance where we have a legitimate reason to do so.

This may include circumstances involving unavailable stock, payment failure, suspected fraudulent activity, unusually large quantities apparently intended for unauthorised resale, delivery restrictions, regulatory restrictions or an obvious pricing or technical error.

Where possible, we will contact you if there is a problem with your order.

If we cancel an order after receiving payment but before supplying the products, the amount paid for the cancelled products will be refunded.

Nothing in this section permits us to discriminate unlawfully against customers or avoid obligations imposed by consumer law.

7. Prices, VAT and Payment

Prices displayed on the website will include applicable taxes where required by law.

Delivery charges and any other charges payable to us will be shown before you complete checkout.

The total payable amount will be shown before the order is submitted.

Prices may change from time to time. A price change does not normally affect an order that we have already accepted.

We accept payment using the payment methods displayed at checkout.

Payment processing may be carried out by Shopify Payments, PayPal or another authorised payment provider.

We do not impose a refund administration fee solely because a payment provider charges us transaction fees.

8. Pricing and Website Errors

We take reasonable care to ensure prices and product information are correct.

Occasionally a genuine technical, promotional or pricing error may occur.

If we identify an obvious error before accepting your order, we may cancel the affected order and refund any payment already received.

Where appropriate, we may instead contact you and give you the opportunity to purchase the product at the correct price.

Once a binding contract has been formed, we will not simply alter the agreed price because we subsequently decide that a different price would have been preferable.

We reserve the right to correct website errors and update future product information or prices.

9. Promotions, Discount Codes and Multipacks

Promotional offers may have separate terms, closing dates, eligible products or purchase requirements.

Unless an offer specifically states otherwise, promotional codes cannot normally be combined with another discount and cannot be retrospectively applied to an order that has already been completed.

Multipack and bundle prices reflect the discount offered for purchasing multiple products together.

Where only part of a discounted multipack or bundle qualifies for a voluntary refund, any refund may be calculated using the actual price paid after the relevant bundle or promotional discount.

This does not limit statutory refund rights where those rights apply.

10. Order Cancellations Before Dispatch

If you want to cancel an order, contact support@thebohemiankings.com as soon as possible.

If the order has not yet entered fulfilment or been dispatched, we can normally cancel it and refund the amount paid.

If the order has entered fulfilment, we will make reasonable efforts to stop it, but we cannot guarantee that this will be possible.

Once an order has been dispatched, we cannot physically stop the parcel while it is in transit.

This does not mean that you lose any statutory cancellation rights you may have after receiving the goods.

Please see our Purchase Options & Cancellation Policy and Returns & 30-Day First-Time Buyer Guarantee Policy for further information.

11. Delivery

Delivery methods, charges and estimated delivery periods are displayed on our website or during checkout.

Unless we expressly agree otherwise, delivery dates and transit periods shown on the website are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates.

We aim to process and dispatch orders promptly.

Delivery networks can occasionally experience delays caused by circumstances outside our direct control, including high parcel volumes, customs processing, severe weather, transport disruption, public holidays, industrial action or other disruption within postal networks.

Christmas, Black Friday, Cyber Week and other peak trading periods can result in longer transit times and slower tracking updates.

Customers purchasing for Christmas, birthdays, holidays or another specific event should order sufficiently early.

Estimated delivery periods do not remove your statutory rights where delivery is not completed within the period required by applicable law.

12. Responsibility for Your Parcel

Where we arrange delivery, the goods remain at our risk until you, or another person you have nominated to receive the parcel, takes physical possession of them, subject to applicable law.

Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address when placing your order.

Customers should monitor tracking information where tracking is provided.

If a postal operator requests collection, customs information, address clarification or another action from you, you should respond promptly to avoid unnecessary delay or the parcel being returned.

13. Failed Delivery and Non-Collection

Where delivery cannot be completed, the postal operator may hold the parcel temporarily at a local delivery office, sorting office or collection point.

Parcels may ultimately be returned to us where they are not collected, delivery is refused, requested postal or customs information is not supplied, or the delivery address provided when ordering is incorrect or incomplete.

Returned international parcels can take several weeks to reach us.

Where a parcel is returned because of customer non-collection, refusal or incorrect/incomplete address information supplied when ordering, additional delivery charges may apply if the customer asks us to send the order again.

Where a refund is requested instead, the treatment of delivery charges will depend upon the circumstances and the statutory rights applicable to the transaction.

We will not use a failed-delivery provision to remove statutory consumer rights.

14. Delayed, Missing and Disputed Deliveries

If tracking stops updating, an order appears unusually delayed, or tracking shows a parcel as delivered but you cannot locate it, please contact us promptly.

We may need to investigate the delivery with An Post, Royal Mail, La Poste, Correos or another postal or delivery partner.

We may reasonably ask you to confirm the delivery address, check with other household members, check any designated safe place or reception area, check with neighbours where appropriate, or contact your local postal or delivery office.

We aim to resolve delivery enquiries, or provide a meaningful update, within three working days wherever reasonably possible.

Some carrier investigations can take longer, particularly for international parcels and during Christmas or other peak periods.

Where an investigation takes longer than three working days, this does not mean the case has been closed. We will continue to consider information supplied by the carrier and the customer until an appropriate resolution can be reached.

The investigation process does not remove or reduce any statutory rights relating to undelivered goods.

15. Returns and Our 30-Day First-Time Buyer Guarantee

Our detailed return conditions are contained in our Returns & 30-Day First-Time Buyer Guarantee Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

The 30-Day First-Time Buyer Guarantee is an additional commercial guarantee offered by The Bohemian King’s. It is separate from, and does not replace, statutory consumer rights.

Under the guarantee, a qualifying first-time customer who is dissatisfied with their beard colour result may request a return within 30 days of receiving the order, including where the qualifying product has been opened or partially used.

The guarantee is limited to one first-time buyer guarantee claim per customer.

For performance-related claims under the voluntary guarantee, the beard should have been approximately 1 cm or longer, and the product should have been used broadly in accordance with our supplied application instructions.

We may ask the customer to complete a short feedback form as part of a voluntary guarantee claim. The purpose of this form is to help us understand the application and result, provide appropriate guidance and improve our customer instructions.

Where the guarantee relates to a multipack, customers should initially open and test one unit. One opened or partially used qualifying product may be considered under the First-Time Buyer Guarantee. Additional units being returned should remain unopened and sealed. Additional opened products will not normally qualify for refund under the voluntary guarantee.

The customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning products under our voluntary First-Time Buyer Guarantee unless we agree otherwise.

Customers do not need to purchase premium, express or enhanced return shipping unless they choose to do so.

Where a refund is provided solely under our voluntary First-Time Buyer Guarantee, the qualifying product value paid by the customer is refunded. Original delivery charges are not normally included in the voluntary guarantee refund.

Different rules apply where the customer exercises a statutory right of cancellation or has statutory rights because goods are faulty, unsafe, damaged, incorrect or not as described.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide the applicable commercial guarantee statement on a durable medium no later than delivery.

16. Statutory Cooling-Off Rights

Consumers purchasing online may have a statutory right to cancel qualifying purchases without giving a reason.

For qualifying Irish and European Union distance purchases, the statutory cooling-off period is generally 14 days from the day on which the consumer, or a person nominated by the consumer other than the carrier, receives the goods.

Qualifying UK distance purchases are also generally subject to a 14-day cancellation period.

After notifying us of a statutory cancellation, the customer must return the goods within the applicable statutory return period.

Where we have informed the customer before purchase that they are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods following a change-of-mind cancellation, that cost is normally the customer's responsibility where permitted by law.

Where statutory cancellation applies, we will refund the standard outbound delivery charge where required by law.

If the customer expressly selected a more expensive premium or enhanced delivery method, we are not required to refund the additional amount above our standard qualifying delivery charge where applicable law permits this.

For products supplied in sealed packaging which, because of their nature, are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed, statutory cancellation rights may cease when the seal is broken where the applicable statutory exception applies.

Our voluntary First-Time Buyer Guarantee may nevertheless provide additional rights for an opened qualifying beard dye.

Nothing in this section limits rights relating to faulty, unsafe, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods.

17. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If a product arrives damaged, is faulty, is not what you ordered or otherwise does not conform to the sales contract, please contact us at support@thebohemiankings.com.

We may ask for photographs, batch information or other reasonable information that helps us identify the problem and provide the appropriate remedy.

These requests are intended to assist our investigation and product-quality controls and do not remove statutory remedies.

Where goods do not conform to the contract, customers retain the remedies available under applicable consumer law.

Return costs that we are legally responsible for will not be passed to the customer.

18. Refunds

Refunds will normally be issued using the original payment method unless another method has been expressly agreed.

The timing of a refund depends upon the reason for the refund and the applicable legal requirements.

For voluntary returns and guarantees, we aim to process approved refunds promptly and normally within 10 business days after the qualifying return has been received and assessed.

Statutory refunds will be processed within the period required by applicable law.

Once we issue the refund, your bank, card issuer or payment provider may require additional time to display it in your account.

We do not charge customers a refund-processing administration fee where prohibited by law.

19. Customer Accounts

If you create an account on our website, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for providing accurate account information.

Please contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

You must not use another person's account without their permission or use our website or account system for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

20. Reviews, Feedback and Customer Submissions

We welcome genuine customer feedback and product reviews.

If you voluntarily submit a review, photograph, testimonial or other material for publication, you confirm that you have the right to provide that material.

You grant us permission to reproduce and display material that you have intentionally submitted for publication in connection with The Bohemian King’s, subject to applicable privacy and intellectual-property laws.

We may decline to publish or may remove submissions that are unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, defamatory, infringe third-party rights, contain malicious software or are unrelated to the product or service being reviewed.

We will not alter a genuine customer review in a way that materially misrepresents the customer's opinion.

21. Intellectual Property

The content of this website, including The Bohemian King’s name, branding, logos, product photography, graphics, written content, packaging designs and other original materials, is owned by or licensed to us except where otherwise stated.

You may use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not reproduce, commercially exploit, modify, distribute or use our intellectual property in a way that infringes our rights without permission.

Nothing in these Terms grants ownership of The Bohemian King’s trademarks, branding or other intellectual property to website users.

22. Acceptable Website Use

You must not knowingly use our website to engage in unlawful activity, commit fraud, transmit malicious software, attempt unauthorised access to our systems, interfere with website security, scrape or harvest personal information unlawfully, impersonate another person or infringe the intellectual-property or privacy rights of another person.

We may restrict access to the website or customer accounts where reasonably necessary to protect customers, our business, our systems or third parties from fraud, unlawful activity, security threats or serious misuse.

23. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may use or link to services provided by third parties, including Shopify, payment providers, parcel-tracking providers, social-media platforms and other service providers.

We are responsible for our own obligations to customers, but we do not control the independent operation of third-party websites or services.

Where you choose to leave our website and use an independent third-party website, the third party's terms and privacy practices may apply.

Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that the law places on us for services forming part of our own contract with you.

24. Personal Information and Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.

Information may be shared with service providers where reasonably necessary to process payments, fulfil orders, deliver parcels, operate the website, prevent fraud, provide customer service or comply with legal obligations.

Please review our Privacy Policy for more information about how personal information is processed and the rights available to you.

25. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

Occasionally our ability to perform an obligation may be affected by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, postal disruption, industrial action, natural disasters, government restrictions, significant infrastructure failures or similar exceptional events.

Where this happens, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect on customers and resume normal performance as soon as reasonably practical.

This section does not remove statutory rights relating to delivery, cancellation, refunds or defective goods.

26. Our Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, liability arising under applicable product-safety or product-liability legislation, or any statutory consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

For customers purchasing as consumers, our responsibility to you will be determined in accordance with applicable consumer law.

We are not responsible for losses resulting solely from misuse of a product contrary to clear product instructions or warnings, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

If you are purchasing products wholly or mainly for business or resale purposes rather than as a consumer, different legal rights may apply.

27. No Waiver of Consumer Rights

No provision in these Terms, our Returns Policy, our First-Time Buyer Guarantee, our Cancellation Policy or another store policy is intended to remove a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be removed.

If there is a conflict between one of our voluntary policies and a mandatory statutory consumer right, the statutory right takes priority.

Our commercial guarantees provide rights in addition to statutory rights.

28. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our products, services, business operations or legal requirements.

The current version will be published on our website with its revision date.

Changes to these Terms will generally apply to future use of the website and future orders.

Updating our website Terms does not retrospectively remove contractual or statutory rights relating to an order already placed.

29. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Where possible, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

30. Governing Law and Consumer Jurisdiction

These Terms and contracts entered into with Bohemian Importers & Distributors Limited are governed by the laws of Ireland.

If you are a consumer living outside Ireland, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under the law of the country in which you habitually reside where those protections are applicable.

Nothing in these Terms restricts a consumer's right to bring proceedings in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.

31. Our Policies

Our Returns & 30-Day First-Time Buyer Guarantee Policy, Purchase Options & Cancellation Policy, Privacy Policy and any specific promotional terms referenced during your purchase form part of the contractual information governing your transaction where applicable.

If there is any inconsistency between a voluntary store policy and mandatory consumer law, mandatory consumer law takes precedence.
